Chevrolet Silverado's Advanced Safety Features Helps You Keep Safe on the Road

The all new Chevrolet Silverado comes with highly advanced safety features that not only keeps you safe on the road but also helps you keep the car in control. The car is powered by a smart StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control System. This control module is intelligent enough to compare your steering input with the vehicle's actual response and then, if required, makes small, individual brake applications so that you can stay on track and don’t lose control. The control system has the ability to sense under steer (plowing), over steer (fishtailing) or loss of lateral traction and then intervenes automatically to help you stay in control.

Other safety features include six standard air bags, front seat is mounted to give protection to the thorax and pelvic area in case of accidents and a head curtain is present for side impact for outboard seating position.

Now you don’t have to visit a petrol pump every time you need to check your tire pressure. The new Chevrolet Silverado comes with a tire pressure monitor system that automatically measures the inflation level of the four road tires. The readout information is displayed on the Drive Information Center and if any of the tires (exclude spare tire) fall below a specified pressure an instant alert message is sent out to the driver.

The car has an in-built automatic crash response system which is connected to OnStar. The vehicle can sense a collision and automatically alert an OnStar advisor who is then immediately connected to your vehicle and can request to send emergency help to your exact GPS location.

The steel safety cage is also very effective to preserve the occupant space at the time of collision. The front of the body structure is designated as crush zones that are designed for a “progressive crush” during a frontal collision. The design is specially engineered so that it absorbs and channelizes the crash energy in a controlled way.
