Since the new 650i convertible makes its world debut at the Detroit Motor Show, there was considerable praise. The 650i Convertible is "awesome in and out" (Road & Track), is a "battery low, wide and exudes subtle but unmistakable" (Car and Driver). The 650i Coupé will start production in July 2011 and launched in autumn this year. The beginning of communication for the new 6 Series Coupe is now at 18.00, with the vehicle that makes its world premiere at the Shanghai Auto Show April 19.
Performance and Standard EquipmentThe 650i Coupé is equipped with the same 4.4-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine that convertibles. The engine produces 400 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque. The 650i Coupe will have both 6-speed manual (ECZ) and 8-speed Sport automatic transmission available. With the launch of the Cup, all the default commands for the automatic and manual transmission (ECZ) can be chosen as an option. The convertible will also be updated by default to the automatic transmission. All orders will be editable Cabriolet updated Monday, March 14.

Sound System from Bang & OlufsenFor the first time on a BMW, an optional Bang & Olufsen Sound System is available on the 650i Coupe. This option will be available at the gig later this year.
16 The Bang & Olufsen speakers are driven by 1,200 watts of power. Each of the seven tweeter is paired with a midrange speaker to offer symmetrical. The two powerful subwoofers located under the front seats are mounted directly on the body of the car. This patented design eliminates vibration of BMW of subwoofers to produce a quality sound even cleaner. Dynamic noise compensation route based on sound data collected from a microphone mounted in the cockpit to constantly adjust the sound according to the conditions outside the car as the rain and the road surface changing.
There are two different sound settings, creating two completely different sound experiences. "Studio Mode" produces a vivid soundscape that reproduces the sounds that the artist intended, while in "advanced" widens the soundstage to give passengers the impression that they are in a much larger space. Acoustic Lens Technology, Bang & Olufsen patented technology, distributes audio horizontally 180 º dispersion to provide the best experience possible sound from anywhere in front of the speaker. The acoustic lens cover also shows a loudspeaker additional mid-range that offers a perfectly balanced sound throughout the cabin.
The design of the audio system is seamlessly integrated into a floating frame solid aluminum grids:
Special fittings separate trellis frame gives the illusion that the grid is floating in the air. intermediate grid and the structure is also a small LED light that cast subtle in the cabin when the system is in use. The grids are a special BMW Color Pearl Gloss. Bang & Olufsen name is laser etched on the surface of most of the grate.
Full LED Headlamp
All new full-LED headlights available as an option on the 650i Coupe. This option is not available on convertible until later this year.
This solution includes LED high and low beams, adaptability, automatic beam assistant, and light rings for the lights and headlights.
The white light LED lighting provides bright and even the road. LED light is much closer to daylight than conventional halogen or created by the same xenon headlights. LED lights also have the ability to adapt to suit BMW vehicle speed, steering angle and speed, which allows turning the headlights automatically adjust to the corner line. Meanwhile, a special light source positioned within the housing generates a beacon of light to turn at low speeds, provides illumination of the road in the direction the car is running.
Note that LED lights are available with optional 20 "wheels. See the image below 650i Coupé fitted with this option for your reference.

We reported to you earlier about BMW planning to enter the small car segment in India in the next two year or so with their 1-Series, BMW was keenly developing the 2012 version of their 1-series which is expected to make its way to the Indian shores by 2013.
